Video: Former MP to Boost IAU Int'l Activities

The induction ceremony of Islamic Azad University deputy of International Affairs and Non-Iranian Students, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, has been held on August 1st at IAU Central Organization.

According to an ISCA report, the ceremony was held with the presents of the head of IAU board of trustees and directors, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, IAU president, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi and some of the university's officials.

In this ceremony, the former member of Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi stated that since the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been always emphasizing on the revival of Islamic World Science, "we must follow this direction in Islamic Azad University."

He noted that developing Islamic and revolutionary education as well as making efforts in training Islamic revolution's ambassadors must be placed on the university deputy of International Affairs agenda.

As the largest brick-and-mortar university in the world, with more than 400 national and ten international branches in United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Oxford, Moscow, Russia, Milan, Italy, Malaysia, Oman, and Germany, and 18 thousand international students, Islamic Azad University international activities are governed and managed by the General Directorate for International Affairs and its divisions.

These include collaboration with overseas universities and educational and research institutions, international student recruitment and exchange, and last but not least overseeing the activities of IAU overseas and international campuses.
